What: Data Trail visualizes the trace of people’s mobile activity as they move from place to place.

Reflections: Work on story, meaningful design choices, scenario. [TBD]

Other Teams:

1: Graffiti, Mantas, Federico, Andrea

  1. Would be really cool if you could retain drawing between sessions.
  2. Think of how a device can be an eraser --- erasing as a creative tool.
  3. Choose a canvas. Is it walls or a statue or existing structure or is it empty space.
  4. Maybe test it with a street artist to get new ideas / have them "deface" a statue.
  5. What is the UI element to show where paint is going? (brush?)

2: Bowling, Sareena, Shalin, Varenya

  1. What if you broke the rules of real physics and made up new ones because you can? (how is it different than real bowling--is there a fantasy element?)
  2. Make success easier?
  3. Add visual guidance for shooting?

3: Futurecasting, _Micol, Sami, Jing

  1. What if you used gestures instead of an object? For example pouring to see possible cup futures.
  2. Think of other interactions with the object/ surroundings.
  3. Have you considered other future oriented metaphors such as tea leaves, crystal ball, tarot cards?

4: T Shirt, Fahmida, Abhishek, Raphael

  1. How might you use area around body? What if the landscape of the city extended along the body rather than being confined to shirt? The shirt would still be fiducial, but you could use length of body.
  2. Be mindful of interaction around chest area for women.
  3. What other AR scenarios might lend themselves to self-expression?

5: Cult, Surojit, Anna, Yuxi, Axel

  1. Seeing from someone else's perspective was compelling, but the masks distract from it. What augmented elements might enhance seeing from someone else's perspective?
  2. How can this experience more exploratory and discoverable rather than dictated or scripted?
  3. What if you explored mixing up place and time?

6: Storybook, Chaeri, Sindhu

  1. Can there be an element of modularity/ movement of objects... how can this experience more exploratory and discoverable rather than dictated or scripted?
  2. Can you add some easter eggs?
  3. Interactions around details in storybook were compelling... what if characters stayed made out of paper to highlight the strength of story elements (like the pot and the dialogue).
  4. What if events in book were tied to specific locations in house? Imagine if in the scene the pig ran off (the page) to another part of the room and the book has to be placed at that new location for that story to continue?

7: DataTrail, Reuben, Juliana, Raunaq //solid work 💪💪

8: Touch, Rina, Julius, Alex

  1. Like the potential of your demo and the manifesto at the beginning.
  2. Wondering if making the tone playful detracts from impact of your futurecasting exercise?
  3. What informed the choice to use VR over AR?
  4. Are mismatched senses at the core of your concept (because that was part of what we experienced).
  5. What if the sensation rooms were physical places on the table, rather than existing only in virtual space?
  6. What if you made guessing the object part of the virtual experience?
