Create Commentary from Notes files

Oliver Tseng edited this page Jan 10, 2022 · 2 revisions

Step 1 - Create a folder

  • Create a folder and name it as you want to name the commentary module you are about to create.

Step 2 - Open built-in "Note Editor"

Open a "New" Note file.

Step 3 - Create Individual Chapters

  • Name the file as [book name]_[chapter] (Examples: Genesis_1.uba, Matthew_28.uba)
  • If the filename does not contain a chapter and is only the name of the book, it will be used for the book introduction. (Example: Exodus.uba)

Step 4 - Create commentary module

  • Select from menu "Resources > Create > Commentary from Note Files"
  • Select the folder created in step (1).
  • Wait for the process to be completed.
  • When it is finished, you will receive a message "Done".

Tips

  • Bible reference links are automatically created. Do not hyperlink Bible references in your notes.
  • If the commentary already exists, the note files in the folder will be added/replaced to the existing commentary and none of the existing chapters in the commentary will be deleted. This makes commentary generation faster since the only files required in the folder are those to be added/replaced.
