Create a Reference Book from Note Files - An Example

An UniqueBible.app reference book module basically contains different chapters with individual texts.

Step 1 - Create a folder

  • Create a folder and name it as you want to name the book module you are about to create.

Step 2 - Open built-in "Note Editor"

Open a "New" Bible Topic File, by either one of the following mehtods:

  • Keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + N" on Windows / Linux
  • Keyboard shortcut "Cmd + N" on macOS
  • Select from menu "Bible Topics > Write a New Bible Topic"
  • Click the button "Write a New Bible Topic" on "Second Toolbar"

Step 3 - Create Individual Chapters

  • Copy a chapter content from your source file and paste it on the "Note Editor".
  • Save it to the folder created in step (1).
  • Name the file as you want to name the chapter.
  • Repeat the steps above until you save all chapters content into indivdual note files, with extension *.uba.

Step 4 - Create a Reference Book module

  • Select from menu "Books > Create a Reference Book from Note Files"
  • Select the folder created in step (1).
  • Wait for the process to be completed.
  • When it is finished, you will receive a message "Done".

Step 5 - Open the Created Module

  • Use the button "Open a Reference Book" on "Second Toolbar" or select from menu "Books > Open a Reference Book".
  • As you may see below, individual files become chapters of the created books.

There are several advantages to create an UniqueBible.app book module, e.g.:

  • bible reference links are automatically created.
  • You can select a word and right-click to access other UniqueBible.app features of resources.
