Procedural Stages

gRally offers a system to drive on procedural created stages. In this way you can drive always on different and unknown stages.

At the moment we use this system on the Live rallies and we're the only one that can create the procedural stages due to many reasons:

  • the creation system is far from finished, we have planned to add some needed features in the next weeks & months
  • the user interface is not ready for the daily use of users, at the moment it satisfy our workflow but it needs more usabilty
  • it needs polishing on code and bug hunting&fixing , otherwise we'll be flooded by users complaints. At the moment we prefer to invest our time adding features

We planned to integrate it inside the gRally main menu as soon as it'll be ready.

At the moment, as you can't create stages by yourself, we decided to release every 2 weeks the procedural stages we raced on in the expired Live rallies.

So, if you're interested to try them, follow these easy steps.

  1. Go to Drive, on the right of the stage preview image there is the "Choose a stage" button. Click it and then, in the stage selection menu, click on the icon as shown in the image below.

  2. Choose the rally folder you're interested

  3. Choose a stage named with the .grProc file extension and press "Open".

  4. You'll see the selected stage in the Drive menu

Here you'll have two main info about the stage

    • The stage length
    • The stage surface (in case of stages with mixed surfaces, you'll have all the surfaces listed)
