gModCreator

Go to "Mods" section of the main menu and then, on the right, press the "Launch gModsCreator" button.

This is the gModCreator tool interface

Let's go to every interface element.

On the right upper part there is the element. If you press it you can Load or Save settings (we'll come back on this later, at the moment is enough to say that the "settings" are the information about the mod)

Come back to the main parts of the interface

First of all select the kind of mod you're creating

Then select the stage root folder

It opens a new window where you have to select the root folder of the mod.

Like written on the upper part of the window you should point to the mod folder that is inside gRally/Data/ type of mod. This is due to the fact that to test the mod you have to save the mod inside the "game" folder, so when you're happy with it, you're ready to upload to Steam Workshop or publishing it creating the ".grmod" file.

After that, come back to the rest of information. Fill in the mod details and select a preview image of your mod. This image is the one you'll see in the Workshop list.

After you published, you can add other images using the Steam Workshop user actions.

When you complete you'll have something like this

Now you're ready to publish your creation !!!

You have 2 way to publish your mod:

  1. create a package (.grmod file) in your PC and distribute it as you prefer

  2. upload it to the Steam Workshop

Before you press the right button, set if you want your mod visible on the gRally live library or not.

If you choose to upload to the Steam Workshop you should see a window like this:

Please, pay attention to select a folder that is not located inside the gRally Stages/Cars/Codrivers Steam install folder. After this, the upload should start

When it will finish and after some a bit of time (for our tests it takes some minutes), you'll find your mod on gRally Workshop.

At the end you could save the mod settings, it will be useful for the next mod updates.

Remember that, when you'll create a new version of your mod you'll upload just the difference from the previous. Just to be clear, imagine to update some textures of your stage and imagine that your full mod is about 300Mb and the new textures just 50Mb. When you'll create a new version and you'll update it, Steam will upload just the 50Mb and not all the stage.
