Continual Harvest
I planted in silence
Row by row and year by year
Each seed measured each root tended
In patience and not in haste
Now the orchard whispers in soft green voices
Branches bending gently under fruit unseen before
Not a sudden storm of wealth
But the quiet unfolding of steady light
I watch the yield arrive in its own time
A cluster here or a bloom there
Each season gifting its measure
Always more than enough
A windfall dazzles then vanishes
Leaving the heart unsteady grasping and wanting
But the orchard knows no panic
No fleeting frenzy
Its gifts arrive like dawn
Softly illuminating the day’s path
I walk among my trees
Hands open and heart aware
Knowing that abundance is not a moment
But a rhythm
A life sustained
A harvest that never ends
